Today I talk about implementing apple cider vinegar and lemon juice to some warm water first thing in the morning we're gonna dive into a little bit more detail about why lemons might be one of the best foods that you can be eating when it comes to fat loss detoxing and all-around feeling great if you stick with me till the end I'm gonna show you how you can pick the perfect lemon because sometimes you go to the store you get one that just doesn't have that much juice so stick with me till the end then I'll show you how to do that but first let's dive right in to the number four reason that lemons are an amazing superfood the number four reason that lemons are awesome is that they boost your mood and this isn't just some random factoid this has actually been shown quite a bit and I can attest to it personally because as someone that wakes up in the morning and sometimes has anxiety about the day what am I going to accomplish what do I have to get done today 

I personally noticed that having some lemon juice in the morning definitely helped that and it's not even just consuming lemon just the aroma alone has been shown to reduce anxiety but it's also been shown to stimulate your heart rate so not only does it relax you a little bit it also energizes you in the right way and it's been shown that lemons do that because of negatively charged ions that are in the limits they counteract some positively charged ions within our bodies which balance us out make us a little bit more relaxed and reduce anxiety the number three reason that lemons are epic and need to be implemented into a diet is simply because they reduce inflammation and I've been becoming known as sort of the inflammation guy I talk about it a lot because I think it's something that's out there that we're just not educated on enough and lemons dramatically reduce inflammation I'll explain how so our bodies have what's called uric acid within the joints and if we have too much uric acid within the joints then it causes a lot of swelling it causes internal inflammation and if you've heard of the disease gout before that's what gout is it's an abundance of uric acid it's too much uric acid in the blood sometimes it pools in the joints and causes extreme joint pain especially in the feet well this could be reduced if we can make our bodies slightly more alkaline you see naturally our bodies are a little bit acidic but most of the foods that we're eating with a lot of preservatives and what not are making our bodies even more acidic and when lemons are metabolized by the body they actually become alkaline which is ironic because they taste like they're completely acidic but once your body processes it becomes alkaline and it helps flush the uric acid out of thejoints which can alleviate some pain and make you feel a heck of a lot better the number two reason that I suggest you eat lemons is that they detox you so in addition to reducing inflammation and in addition to reducing anxiety they actually help your liver out and the way that they do that is by stimulating gastric juices and in fact lemon juice on its own is very similar in composition to the digestive juices that we have already which means that they can aid in digestion help break down food and help stimulate that natural process but what some people don't know is that lemons help thin bile now bile is created by the gallbladder and it helps in detoxing it helps in a lot of functions in the body the problem is if it's not thin it's hard for that bile to really do its job so lemon thins it out allows the bile to do its job and also

take some strain off of the gall bladder if the gall bladder is a little bit more relaxed and not struggling you're gonna have more energy because your body isn't having to feed energy to your organs that are struggling so right then and there you expedite the detoxification process by taking the load off of the liver and taking the load off of the gall bladder which leads me to the number one reason why lemons are an amazing food and that is because they dramatically help your kidneys out if you've ever known someone that's had a kidney stone you know how painful it can be maybe you've had one yourself or maybe someone close to you has passed the kidneys now you know the amount of pain they go through well what happens when you have a kidney stone is it's actually a lack of what's called citrate within the bloodstream a lack of citrate within the bloodstream and a lack of citrate within the urine causes a calcium buildup causing these build ups of minerals within the kidneys which can make it so that have a kidney stone well lemons produce more citrate within the bloodstream which means that you can prevent kidney stones from forming but not just preventing kidney stones from forming you can prevent that calcium buildup that normally slows down your kidneys and it kind of makes the kidneys that they have to work a little bit harder which means the kidneys can't do their regular job which is to regulate fluid so if your kidneys aren't able to regulate fluid that means you can have swelling because your body's retaining water or you might be dehydrated more so and then you also will find that you don't get thirsty as much because your kidneys aren't communicating the way that they should so simply by having some lemon in the morning you will find that the stress comes off your kidneys you'll find it a lot easier to drink water it just seems more palatable andto me that is the most important reason why you should have lemon because we are not getting enough water if you get more water then you can absorb more nutrients you can flush toxins out of your body and you can be that much closer to living a healthier life so thanks for sticking with these four tips let me show you how to pick the perfect lemon when it comes to picking the perfect lemon there's a few things that you should know and people don't really address it because people don't really care about picking the perfect lemon or not but I'm going to show you a couple of quick ways so the first thing is obviously don't get one that has any green on it that's kind of obvious a lot of times people will pick one that's got green on it because they will want to put it on their shelf or put it on their 

counter and let it ripen well cases it doesn't really ripen anymore you want to get one that doesn't have any green on it next you want to get the smaller spherical lemons you know sometimes you see those big honkin ones with like the big nub at the end don't get those because a lot of times people will think that they'll yield more juice but you get a lot more juice out of a smaller spherical lemon because it's got a thinner skin and then you're usually going to have a little bit more citric acid in them as well the next tip is make sure you're getting organic lemons they're literally pennies more than non-organic lemons and the main reason is if you're using them for lemon juice or you're putting them in warm water well those non-organic lemons have a waxy layer on them and that waxy layer will melt and will end up in the water that you're drinking and you don't want that that wreaks havoc on your system lastly you want to find one that's got the smooth skin don't look for one that's bumpy because if it's smoother it usually has the thinner skin it's usually very right and it's also a telltale sign of more citric acid so those are four simple little tips that you can use to pick the perfect lemon so you get the most citric acid out of it and get the most benefit as always keep it locked in here on the
